Birth Pool Rental Packages
The birth pool and accessories that are not disposable are thoroughly sanitized and inspected before and after every use.
Anything labelled rental is reused, if it is not labeled as a rental than it is disposable and a new one is used for each family.
Basic Package

For those that have everything and is not their first time.

Premium Package

For those that want everything.

Everything from the Basic Package, plus
- 1 Submersible water pump for emptying (rental)
- 2 25-ft hoses (rental) 1 for clean water to fill the pool, and 1 for dirty water to drain the pool.
- 2 Universal hose and sink adapters (rental)
- Floor protector or tarp
- Disposable fish net for debris
- 1 Ivory peanut ball (rental)
- Twinkle lights (rental)
- Printed affirmation cards (rental)
Full-Service Package
$350
For those who don’t want to worry about anything.

Everything from the Premium Package, plus
- In-home setup when delivered at 38 weeks
- Emptying of pool and takedown of setup within 24 hours of baby being born

Free delivery and pickup is included in all packages within 1 hour of Windsor, setup and teardown is only included in the Full-Service package. Any doula and birth photography clients are eligible for the Full-Service package at the price of the Premium package as a bundle discount for those services.
A deposit of $75 is required to secure your services and to reserve your due date on my calendar. The balance is due by 37 weeks unless otherwise arranged. All prices are subject to HST.
FAQ
What size is the pool?
Our pools are oval in shape and have an internal basin measurement of 38 inches wide x 47 inches long x 24 inches deep. The footprint when fully inflated measures 65 inches long x 55 inches wide x 26 inches high.
How long does it take to set up?
For myself, less than 15 minutes! But I provide an Instruction Booklet in your kit that gives you a simple step-by-step guide to follow for your partner as well.
On average:
- 6-8 minutes to inflate the pool
- 3 minutes to set up/put away equipment, floor protection, and twinkle lights
- 2 minutes to insert and adjust the liner
- 5-25 minutes to fill up the pool, depending on your water pressure and hot water tank system
Are the pools cleaned between use?
Every pool and kit item is cleaned and sanitized with medical-grade cleaning supplies to ensure that any and all bodily fluids are washed away between uses. We also require that birthers use a disposable pool liner.
What happens if I accidentally damage the pool or an accessory?
As the renter, you are responsible for disclosing any damages to the pool or items in the kit upon return. If the pool requires replacement due to negligence or misuse, you will be held responsible for the full cost of replacement.
When do I receive my rental?
Your pool rental drop-off will be arranged for when you are 38 weeks pregnant. If you require an earlier drop-off, a fee of $50/week will apply, subject to availability.
Do you deliver and pick up the pool for me?
Yes! I offer free delivery and pick-up within an hour of Windsor. That would include Windsor, Leamington, Stoney Point and everywhere in between. Outside of this area may incur a per km charge. I also have 2 pick-up/return points to choose from in Tecumseh and Windsor.
How long do I keep the pool for?
We ask that you contact us to arrange the return of the pool as soon as possible after you are done with it so that we can get it ready for the next family! With the purchase of the Full-Service package I will come and clean up the set up approximately 24 hours after delivery, or if I’m present as a doula or photographer in the moment.
I’m in labour when should I get in the pool?
Labour in the shower as long as possible using gravity and movement until you are in the transition or pushing stage. Then get in the pool! Save the aqua-dural effects for when they work best, in the final stages of labour. Using the pool at any time during labour is okay but be sure to rinse your body before re-entry if you’ve found yourself out of the pool for longer than 1 hour.
Tip: Set up the pool in early labour, but WAIT to fill the pool until you are in active labour (6+ cm dilated if you’re having cervical checks). If you’re not getting in the pool ASAP, fill the bottom half with hot(ish) water and then fill the remaining with lukewarm water when you’re ready to get in. The temperature once you are in the pool, and while in the pool, should be 37 degrees celsius and can be measured with the thermometer included in your kit.
